Our Story: The Beginning of Van’s Grill

Van’s Grill got its start during the devastating 2023 wildfires in the North Shuswap region of British Columbia. When firefighters were working around the clock to protect our community, we saw a need — and we stepped up.

What began as cooking meals for the brave men and women battling the flames turned into something more. The experience ignited a passion for bringing people together through wholesome, affordable comfort food.

Today, Van’s Grill is a mobile BBQ operation serving the Interior of British Columbia — from farmers markets and trade shows to private events and catering.

Our mission is simple: to provide wholesome meals at affordable prices. We believe every family deserves access to real, quality comfort food — not just those who can afford fancy restaurants.

Everything is grilled fresh over open flame, using our own handcrafted marinades and seasonings. We focus on sustainable, healthy choices while keeping prices fair for the average family.

From steak bites and chicken bowls to our signature Philly Sandwich, every dish is made with care and served with a smile.

Rustic Comfort Sauces and Seasonings

The sauces and seasonings we developed for our grill quickly became customer favourites. People kept asking if they could take our flavours home — so we made it happen.

Today, our Rustic Comfort line includes over 20 products: BBQ sauces (Bodacious Berry, Mystic Mustard, Perky Peach, and more), hot sauces, marinades, and a full range of seasonings and rubs.

Every bottle and jar is handcrafted in small batches, right here in the North Shuswap. No shortcuts, no artificial preservatives — just real flavour.
